What do we know, as cannon, about John's parents? I've read so much fiction that it all blurs together. Can you help? It's for a fic where I don't want to contradict cannon, just add/spin it.

If you manage to finish your fic before Feb.2nd, his failed marriage and his statement in "Letters..." are everything we know.

The military father thing was in his scifi.com-bio, which is wrong. Joe M. said so.
