Easy treats for grown ups

I love chocolate cornflake cakes but I fancied something a bit more sophisticated so I made some very adult crispy cakes and they're to die for. You can feed them to kids, obviously, but it seems like a waste of good chocolate. They're really great with a cup of coffee, although the chocolate does melt quickly on your fingers so be careful of smudges.

Melt together 200g (7oz) good milk chocolate and 200g of really good dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids). Pour into a bowl and stir in some cornflakes. I didn't use too many (I'm guessing about 3 cups, possibly less) as you want them to really stick together. There's nothing worse that overly crumly cornflake cakes with mean amounts of chocolate. Stir in some un-dyed glace cherries and a handful of sultanas. I didn't add pecans but I thought about it and it would so work.

Instead of making separate cakes in up cake cases I put greaseproof paper in a 6 inch square dish and spread the mixture in that. Once it was set I cut the whole piece into squares with a sharp knife.
