I read this on the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7053982.stm and I loved the quote

"Oh, my god," Rowling, 42, concluded with a laugh, "the fan fiction".

What irks me is that my mother in law is one of those people who doesn't want her youngest to read Harry Potter because she thinks it's witchcraft.

I love the line about the fanfiction! Makes you wonder how many authors are still in the dark when it comes to fanfic! :)
