Nostalgia, serious nostalgia
Oct. 30th, 2007 05:12 pmI just read on the BBC site that they're making a Christmas special of To the Manor Born. I'm so looking forward to it, but also slightly worried in case they mess it up. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7069231.stm
For you guys who've never seen the show, either because it's not shown outside the UK or you're too young, it ran from 1979-1981 and I love it for Penelope Keith, who stars as Audrey fforbes-Hamilton. It's really dated when you watch the re-runs now, but it's so well written and there's obvioulsy such a great chemisty between the cast that it's still really great to watch.
Very excited, and this is the first time for a show that's being shown on the BBC for about 5 years, except for Dr Who.
