Happy birthday. I hope you have a fabulous day. I wrote you a little paragraph from the weird cheese and salty olives AU.

John slipped his hand into Rodney's and twined their fingers together, still marveling he was allowed to do this. Rodney's skin was warm and dry and just a little rough, perfect in John's mind. The owner of the hand raised an eyebrow at him, as though he knew just how much of a love struck fool his boyfriend was, but didn't say anything. Instead he squeezed John's hand and dragged him through the door of market, heading in the direction of the deli instead of the coffee counter. John knew it was Rodney's way of saying he was just as love struck as John was.

Today there was a 3 star rated Severn Bore, on Thursday there's supposed to be a 4 star bore. To most folks outside the UK this is probably utterly meaningless but go with me on this.

Just been super busy, although the sticking cold I have made me pray for death for a couple of days.

On a vaguely interesting note I've started (first one today) posting micro-fictions on Twitter. It's about all I can write at the moment due to stuff in RL. Read them here tagged #MF.

Title: Recipes from Pegasus
Rating: PG
Pairing: Subtle McShep and obvious Teyla/Lorne
Spoilers: All 5 seasons
Summary: After the stargate program was de-classified in 2010 and the initial furore died down, the book that captured the zeitgeist of the entire planet, tapping in to the almost insatiable curiosity for all things related to the Stargate Program, was Recipes from Pegasus. It was an accessible way for everyone to understand a little bit more about the people who had spent the last eight years living in an alien galaxy, fighting to keep Earth safe. It's author, Grace Mallory, the head chef of the Atlantis mission became a household name even though she appeared on a very few TV shows during the publicity tour. More importantly her stories about the daily lives of the people of Atlantis made them appear much more human than all the high octane TV specials did.

Read the pdf file here at box.net or at megaupload here. After a few issues, there's a word version at the box.net site for those who can't view the pdf.

After many problems, I've put an unformatted (no pics or backgrounds) here
that everyone should be able to read.
