DIY woes

Trying to force the crappy old shelf brackets off the wall this morning and I bounced my rubber mallet off one of the brackets and into my chin. Fortunately it wasn't hard so at least I don't look like I've been smacked in the face. I have got skinned knuckles so it could have looked like I was in a fight.

Most the the new shelves are up now except one of the cd towers (IKEA's Benno) which had a hole in the box when it was delivered. Guess where the hole was? Right where the little packet of screws should have been. Joy! So I have all the bits for a cd rack and no way to put them together. I have to go pick them up at the store, which isn't so bad as I have to go buy worktops so my dad can fit them next weekend when my new fridge and freezer arrive.

The tv bench might be a bit overpowering but I'm sure I'll get used to it. All in all pleased.
