A gleam of hope?

The Home Secretary has granted Mehdi Kazemi a temporary reprieve from deportation while she reviews his case. However this isn't the end of the story because despite the statement (reported here) from the Jacqui Smith about there being new circumstances there are no new facts. They tuned him down last time knowing his boyfriend had been executed already. They turned him down knowing the boyfriend, no doubt under torture, named Mehdi as a partner. They turned him down even though a warrant for his arrest has apparently been issued.

So, please go and sign the petition and demand that the UK government act like human beings and allow this boy to stay in the UK.
