Finally, some galleries

I've finally gotten round to creating a couple of galleries for the Stargate panels. I'll do the Joss Weadon and general ones later when the jet lag isn't killing me.

Here's the SG-1 panel. And you can witness my sad, sad obsession with Joe Flanigan here, in the SGA panel.

If you take any of them, please credit me. Also, I don't know the best place to put them for SG1 fans to see them. Any clues?

I had such a fabulous time and met up with some brilliant folks that I still haven't processed it yet really. That, and I'm really, really tired still :-)

I so appreciate your obsession with Joe. I also think it's adorable that he's 1) wearing the necklace one of his kids made him, 2)wearing the blue version of that plaid shirt he wore in Austrailia.

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
His kids made the necklace? I was fascinated by it...or possibly the gimpses of chest behind it.

He buys the plaid shirts in multi-packs clearly.

[identity profile] beadattitude.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what I heard when it first appeared. And yes, it does highlight his lovely lovely chest.

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That's cool. He does seem to be a guy who's into his family and kids and doesn't really do all the show-biz nonsense. To which I say, good on him.

[identity profile] beadattitude.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, he's the whole package, which makes him even more swoonworthy.

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
*sighs*

Hello! From one obsessed Joe fan to another...thanks! You weren't difficult for me to find since while I'm working I google the Flan at least once every hour!

Your pictures are beautiful. Some of the best I've seen so far! I don't think I remember him ever smiling so much at an event! He looks amazing! Thanks for sharing these!

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
He is lovely isn't he? I'm pretty pleased with the pictures myself. They're all thnks to my new camera.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_kiden/ 2008-07-31 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Michael Shanks, what is with your hat? Is this 1996? :D

Thank you for sharing!

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, he's hat is stuck in time. I think he thinks he's some sort of 90s teen movie skater boy.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_kiden/ 2008-07-31 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I like it. At least, he wears it well... maybe. Either way, he's too adorable.

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
True. And chris Judge has a whole hat thing going on too

[identity profile] crysothemis.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, thanks for sharing! Your sad, sad obsession with Joe is a beautiful thing. ::g::

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooo, your icon gets it's shirts from the same place my pictures do :-)

Glad to share them with other like minded folks.

[identity profile] joulez217.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty pictures! Damn me living in the UK and not being able to get across for this! It looks amazin', the pictures were brilliant! XD Thank you very much for sharing! XD

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It was great and you should go. I'm in the UK too. It's a bit of a trek but worth it.

[identity profile] joulez217.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't fly for another few years yet due to medical grounds!! How long did it take you to get there in the end then?? I kinda come from the Midlands so i'd probably have to trek down to one of the London airports to get out kinda thing...

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I flew out of Manchester, via Philadelphia. It's 7 hours (I think) to Phily and then another 5-ish on to San Diego. From London there's a direct flight to Los Angeles and then a 40 min hop to San Diego. It sounds a horrible trip, and when you're delayed or can't sleep it feels it at the time, but it's worth it. Not cheap though. And the hotels in San Diego aren't cheap during Comic Con.

Still glad I went though.

[identity profile] joulez217.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow I have enough trouble travelling up to Glasgow by train! I don't think I could do that trip and still feel like going to a con afterwards! XD

[identity profile] ttiot8.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Good pictures. Most of mine were just of the screen. During the SGA panel I mostly took photos of Martin Gero since he was the one who seemed to be talking the most.

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I got myself a great camera, that turned out to be even better than expected and we got in the queue at 8am to get a good seat too.

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks so much for sharing these photos :):)

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
More than happy to share them. I think it'd count as stalking if I didn't :-)

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-08-02 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
No no no, not stalking. A good photographer *always* takes dozens, tons of shots, hoping to just get that good shot. So, you're simply a photographer! ;)

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-02 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a good theory. Probably true too, as evidenced by the over 1200 pictures I took in the 2 weeks I was in San Diego! I'll post some of the others too eventually, as there's some fab ones from all the tourist sites.

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-08-02 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, and with digital cameras, it's easy to do. That way you can find the one gem amongst the thousands ;)

[identity profile] lysambre.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
To begin with your obsession is definitely not sad ! Look how many people are happy because of it ! ;)

Secondly those are fantastic !

Thirdly : were some people asking questions right behind you or were you standing there naked ??? He keeps looking right at you on some of those pics ! (which makes them even more fantastic in my book mind you, I'm faaaaar from complaining ! :D)

Thank you muchly for some lovely pictures right before going to bed, I can only have good dreams now :)

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
There would be staring if I was naked. Bad staring!

We were sat quite near the center and near the front so I guess that's why he seems to be looking my way.

[identity profile] duffy-99.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
re: Joe Flanigan. It was really the Fiesta of Chest Hair, wasn't it? I was just mesmerized by it the whole time!

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It was lovely. Happy little glimpses of chest. Mmmm

[identity profile] adafrog.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't you love the frozen poop story? lolol

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. That was excellent. All RDAs stories were great, epecially Amanda Tapping's reactions to them. I also liked the story of her and Ben Browder making snow angels.

[identity profile] adafrog.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That was a really cute story.

[identity profile] d_odyssey.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I'm with you on the Joe obsession. Thanks for sharing your pics - love 'em. He is so expressive. Appreciate the post. Thank you!

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-01 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. Happy to share them with other obsessed folks.

Poor Sheppard, er, Flangian......he never met a comb that
didn't defy him.......

[identity profile] anyanka-eg.livejournal.com 2008-08-02 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to think it was artful styling until I saw the film of him telling the story about them trying to gel it down. I have one cowlick and I know how tough it can be to make just the one behave.

I have one cowlick and I know how tough it can

[identity profile] sharpes-hussy.livejournal.com 2008-08-02 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I know exactly what you mean.....
I now wear my hair in a layered chin length with the top a bit shorter, but when I was in the military, I wore my hair shorter. The hair dresser had to be very careful NOT to cut it too short
at the crown (is that what the back of the top of the head is called?) because it would stick up very similar to Sheppard's or sometimes I even looked like Alfalfa in Our Gang
ROFL (funny now but not when it was happening)
I would love to see Flanigan's hair a bit longer on top....
He still would have a military cut with sides and back close...
A good example of the look was in the following audition for Surgical Strike:
