....what do I need to pack for Pegasus 4? How dressed up are the parties? I'm asking because I've got to pack tomorrow (dropping the cat of Tuesday evening) and then I'm off to Sweden on Wednesday. Any advice from the old hands?
The parties aren't that dressed up - I'll just be wearing what I wear during the day (of course, I never get dressed up for parties, so I'm rarely the best person to follow)
I think people get as dressed up as they want, so as casual or not as you want.
I'm getting so excited. I'm driving up on Thursday night after work. Probably going to get there about 8ish, if not earlier. I'll text you once I'm there (unless you get there on Firday, like I'm suddenly thinking you might be).
Oh, and one thing I will say is make sure you have lots of cash. The cash machine at the hotel and at the petrol station nearby run out very quickly and practically everything there is cash based.
Is this your first Wolf Event? If so, welcome :) and I hope you really enjoy it.
Yep, Ionaonie is quite right, some people really posh themselves up, others just go for smart casual, others just comfortable..
Just bear in mind that the disco starts right after the last guest leaves the meet and greet, so if you don't want to be running off to get changed before you can dance, wear something danceable ;)
And yes, everything is cash based - pretty much the only thing we take cards for is; items bought in the auction and tickets for other Wolf events.
as others have said, it's totally down to you - i almost never wear anything smarter than jeans and t-shirts at cons but some people do get dressed up, or even wear fancy dress...
i'm getting so excited about this weekend! i'm arriving lunchtime on friday and i REALLY hope the checking-in process goes quicker than last year... also, if you're staying at the hotel where the con is and you're getting breakfast - make sure you check the times on the tickets they give you, last year my sister and i got crappy times that were the same as events so we couldn't actually get any breakfast!
have fun in sweden & hopefully see you at some point this weekend!
