Gobe trotting...again
I'm off to Sweden again tomorrow (early flight, blah!) for a workshop. It's not in Stockholm as usual but out on the Baltic coast at this place http://www.djuronaset.com/english/
It looks rather nice. I love Swedish food so I'm hoping for good things there and the whole place looks very relaxing in general. Which would be great, except for the amount of work we need to get through. I think I'll be spending my free time working, which is so very wrong. I'm naturally a slacker and I find the concept of 50 hour work weeks positively frightening.
In the notes from the meeting organizer there is the fantastic statement that
There will be the opportunity to swim in the Baltic but you will be asked to sign a waiver to say that [name of company] will not be held responsible should you get sick from the cold water.
You know, I think I'll pass.

You could also write Nephelai. ;p *not really subtle*

Was that a hint? It was a bit obscure for me :-)
I am actually going to sign off in a mo and do some thinking, if nothing else, about Nephelai. I can use my terror of water (hence the no sailing) in the next chapter as I think Rodney and I see eye to eye on the point.

Btw, I was meaning to ask you - what's gobe trotting? *grins and runs away*

People think it must be great tavelling all the time for work but it gets dull after a while, especially going for a day a week to the same dull suburb of Stockholm for several weeks in a row.
I was in Sweden 2 weeks ago and I'm back again (I think I've been to Sweden about 11 times this year). I was in China in May and the US in November 2006. China and the US were very cool. To be fair, so is Stockholm when you get time to spend there.
