Free to a good home

I switched on the radio last night and heard a funny thing.
There had been a discussion (that I missed) about the loss of the real christmas spirit and how it would mean more to people if you gave them a IOU for your skills. So maybe you say you'll do the DIY for them, make some curtains, bake a cake or something like that. Fine. Except this guy texted in and said he was all in favor of offering his skills but he was a pig inseminator and thought chocolates were probably a better option for him to give to his mum. I laughed out loud. Then I thought there might be a fic in it.
I kind of imagined the first Christmas in Atlantis and they're trying to make the best of it. Exchanging skill IOUs or bartering them. Someone, probably Sheppard, comes across one of the marines looking glum and it turns out he's got nothing to trade because he's been on latrine duty since they arrived. Or something like that.
If you think you can make something out of that you're welcome to take it and run with it because I won't. I thought it might be a touching Christmas tale for all the little boys and girls.
