Just let me say it again...ow, ow, ow!

Today has been a bit of a disaster in the extremities front. I went to the supermarket this morning (I've got family coming tomorrow for lunch) and I pulled out a trolley from the trolley park. Except it was 2 trolleys stuck together. I pulled them apart  in my usual overly vigorous fashion only to find the old bloke who had also come up for a trolley had decided to hep me and I squashed his finger. I asked him if he was ok and did the caring bit but I was totally mortified (and he seemed ok) so I went off round the store. I was barely in there 2 mins and then I heard a call for a first aider to go to reception. I swear to god I wanted to hide. I've no idea if it was the bloke who I'd injured or some kid spraining an ankle on their stupid wheelie shoes but I felt to embarrassed to go and check. Is that wrong?

Anyway, feeling appalled at myself I trundled round to get the stuff I needed and managed to bang my little toe into the wheel of the trolley. Which would have been ok except I was wearing sandals so had no protection for my poor abused digit. I ripped off the toe nail well a layer of it with some skin. I'm home now and it's throbbing. Is it cosmic pay back for the poor old chap I injured?

Still, there's lamb stuffed with smoked black pudding in a red wine gravy to look forward to cooking tomorrow. And peach pie. So it's not all bad.
