Is it wrong to want to hug your boss?

Today I went in to work to check my project dates and other team members vacation plans so I could organize time off to go to Com-con with sulien77in July. When I'd finished my coffee I got a mail that said my boss's boss had approved my request to go to a conference in Las Vegas!

I'm very excited. It's at the Venetian at the beginning of June and I'll take a couple of extra days to see some sites. Then at the end of July its San Diego, which is my favorite place ever. Not all finalized yet but...woohoo! I've been grinning like a fool all day.

Isn't it? I'm pathetically excited. Partly because I've never had a boss who actually listens to requests like this. Especially becasue when I asked him, in the pub, I said I was going to get him drunk and make him agree. Which I didn't of course but it seems to have worked :-)

Yay! I'd definitely consider hugging my boss if I ever got sent to Vegas for a conference. Congratulations! I hope you get the opportunity to take in some of the shows while you're there (I hear Cirque du Soleil's shows are amazing). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get to go to San Diego as well.
