She makes me laugh at least once a day, which I suppose makes me forgive her for things like the petrified cat sick I just found in the attic.

heee! Although petrified cat gak is sometimes a lot easier to clean up than the fresh. *sticks out tongue*

Oh, I agree it's a hell of a lot better but it was a bit of a surprise and I had to do a weird dance of avoidance so I didn't step in it. She's asleep on top of the clean washing right now.

Yeah, and you hear them but think 'I'm not getting up now cos it's dark and I'm all warm and snuggly. I'll just have to remember it's there in the morning.' But there's always the chance you won't.

Seriously, and you never do remember. Or you think they've done it closer to the wall or something, but the cat, with his/her ability to predict the future, does it exactly where you will step.

It has to be said the worst one wasn't a stepping in one. I was decorating and I had lots of clothes piled on the floor of my spare bedroom. I came in to discover Moxie had gotten sick on the window sill and hadn't bothered to move. So there was cat gak on the window sill, down the wall, into the grills of the back of the radiator and on to the clothes on the floor. Dried solid on to the radiator grills was a giant furball. I did swear at her that day :-)
