I took this today (30th December, yes DECEMBER. It's not even New Year yet) in Tesco. It's on the aisle with the Christmas stuff they're trying to sell off. In fact it's opposite the Christmas puddings they have left. No, your eyes are not lying, they are f*cking Easter eggs. In December!

Huh, I guess it's small comfort that America isn't the only that starts trying to sell the next holiday. Granted there is Valentine's Day and St.Patrick's day in between. But I was hearing Christmas muisc, cards and decorations two weeks before Halloween this year. ARG!

Oh, there's probably Valentines cards around but I didn't go down that aisle. We don't do St Patricks day so much here. There's green food coloring in Guiness a bit of green stuff around some Irish pubs but that's about it.

On the plus side, one can never have enough mini eggs.

I saw Valentine cards the day after boxing day.

True. Mini-eggs are good.

I don't go down the card aisle just so I don't see inappropriately early cards.

Oooh, reminds me of when I worked at Cadburys...where you start seeing those in November and you see selection boxes in July.

Yeah, there were Easter eggs in the stores before Christmas when I worked at Boots, but we didn't put them out. I'm sure the Easter stuff wasn't out this early last year. Maybe they're trying to get people to buy while they're all hyped about spending in the sales.

You may find, unfortunately, that this stock is actually last years stock. I know in Australia, they do this to move the stuff out before it gets out of date.
Where I used to work, at X-Mas time, all the old xmas stock would be put on display *months* before xmas, even way before the new stock was on its way.

Actually I heard a bloke from Tesco on the radio talking about having them out and they're new ones. Complete madness.

It's mad. They'll probably have Halloween stuff in by about March :-)

Wow, at least the stores here locally are doing Valentines Day first *grins* Every year they put this stuff out sooner and sooner I swear.

I think there's probably Valentines cards to but I didn't look on the card aisle. It's mad how early they have them out.

*drools*

why am I always in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Cream eggs and mini eggs should be available all year round in my opinion. You can just never get enough!
