I've scaled my fingers on steam when I unwrapped my warmed up lasagne after microwaving it. I'm now sitting with my left hand in a glass of cold water to stop it hurting.



This may seem like deja vu. Yes, I have done this before so clearly I'm a special kind of idiot.

Yeah, I do oven burns too, but usually small ones. This is 1st & 2nd knuckles of my little finger, 1st, 2nd & 3rd on my ring finger and 1st & 2nd knuckles on the middle finger of my left hand. Hurts like a bastard.

Don't ever do what I did and put butter on it - stupid lethal old wives' tales. Wet towels, wet towels :/

I've got the wet towels and it's getting better, I hope. The best thing, but I've run out or lost the tube, is Nelson's ointment for burns. Bloody great stuff.
